The little patron

A cat who has clearly been here before

He has his spot. The painted orange-and-white cat settles into a carved wooden chair by the bistro table out front, a side table of donuts and a potted plant within easy reach. Above him the arched Coffee House sign glows, lavender spills from a pot on the step, and the iced coffee waits on the counter. Lean in and the cafe keeps handing you small things to find — a croissant, a window pastry cabinet, jars lined up on the back wall.

Touch it, and the cafe opens for the evening

A warm LED tucks behind the facade and lifts the whole scene into golden evening — light pooling over the espresso machine, glinting in the chandelier, glowing through the arched windows and the open door. The switch is built right into the tiled floor by the doorway: one tap brings the cafe to life, another sends it to sleep. By day a quiet wooden shopfront between your books, after dusk the warmest little window on the shelf.
