EXPOSED CHRISTMAS — ORNAMENT

A Christmas ornament normally works through shine, colour and surface decoration. EXPOSED takes those familiar qualities away and concentrates on the shell, suspension point and simple geometry that make the object instantly recognisable.

Produced on authentic medical imaging film, ORNAMENT becomes a study of transparency and structure. Pale radiographic detail sits against a deep black field, while the translucent film changes subtly as light passes around or through it. The material connects naturally with an object that is usually designed to catch and reflect light.

The result is Christmas wall art with a cleaner, more unusual visual language than a conventional festive print.
