The project began as a collaboration between Stephen Stills (guitar, banjo, keyboards, percussion, vocals) and Graham Nash (guitar, keyboards, percussion, vocals) while David Crosby was deep in drug dependency; Crosby was ultimately included, and his hauntingly lyrical \"Delta\" stands as one of his finest contributions. The addition of the Eagles' Timothy B.
