Sunny Cafe: a DIY coffee shop book nook kit

Sunny Cafe is a CUTEBEE DIY book nook kit that builds a miniature coffee shop in cream and vintage green. Its ornate nameplate sits above a scalloped awning, with a large front window, a green-framed opening door and an arched side window. The shop extends onto a small tiled terrace, so the finished scene includes both a furnished interior and an outdoor place to sit. It can stand beside books or become a small display of its own.

A counter made for coffee lovers

Inside, the miniature counter holds coffee machines, a grinder, printed coffee bags and small cups. A green moka pot stands among other brewing vessels, with jars and bottles on the shelves above. Hanging mugs, floral wallpaper and framed pictures fill the walls without hiding the counter. Two cream-coloured pendant shades hang over the room, adding another layer of detail when you look through the front window. These are the familiar objects of a café, carefully reduced to miniature scale.

A window table and a seat already taken

A small round table inside is set with a cup, saucer and flowers, next to a carved-back chair and a dresser of decorative crockery. Outside, a second table stands between two patterned café chairs. One holds an orange-and-white cat decoration; a takeaway cup and flowers sit on the tabletop beside it. A standing menu board and another flower pot finish the entrance, giving this miniature café kit a street-side setting as well as an interior.

The 233-piece kit brings together printed wooden panels, paper accessories and miniature fittings. Follow the illustrated instructions to build the shopfront and furniture, then arrange the smaller counter and table details. Fitting a chair, placing a cup and adding the shop sign are all part of turning the loose pieces into a complete coffee-shop scene.

The finished model is approximately 15.5 cm wide, 16.2 cm deep and 20.3 cm high. Touch-controlled lighting illuminates the interior, and the front door opens by hand for a closer view. The lights use two AAA batteries, which are not included. Place the assembled café on a level shelf or desk with enough space to reach the door and controls. It makes a characterful display for coffee lovers and miniature collectors; the full-size books and room decorations in styled photographs are separate props.
