The Magical Night at the Castle is a Halloween DIY book nook kit centered on a purple-roofed Witch’s House. Look beyond the witch’s doorway

See the house in a warmer light

Warm LED lighting shines through the upstairs windows and the pumpkin illustration in the cabinet beside the bookshelves. The golden glow sits against the deep blue door and purple roof, making the interior especially inviting after dark. The pumpkin cabinet uses an illuminated picture: the pumpkins shown inside are part of its decorative print. In daylight, the roof, shelves and character pieces remain on view, so the finished book nook offers a detailed Halloween display with the lights off as well as on.

Set aside an afternoon to make it

This 237-piece miniature kit uses pre-cut MDF parts, printed decoration and an assembly manual. You fit the structure together, assemble the smaller furnishings and place the decorative pieces as the house takes shape. Make an afternoon of it or spread the work over shorter sessions; take the time you need for the small parts.
