Bacchus Bookstore: a two-storey miniature bookshop to build

An open-corner book nook for readers and makers

Bacchus Bookstore is a DIY wooden miniature kit that brings a richly furnished bookshop and private study together in one display. The open front and curved corner reveal two floors, with dark wood tones, white balustrades and warm window panels. Unlike a narrow view down a single corridor, this book nook gives you room to look across the reading area and up to the balcony. It is supplied as a kit for you to assemble.

A staircase that connects the whole scene

A curved staircase with transparent acrylic side panels rises from the lower reading room to the upper floor. Beneath it, an open book, a small globe and musical decorations sit among the shelves. A round table holds a miniature chess display, book props and a flower decoration. Nearby, another open volume rests on a step ladder beside a tall patterned window panel and a classical figure decoration. The layered construction gives these small arrangements their own places within the room.

An upstairs study full of collected objects

The balcony holds a piano decoration with a ginger cat seated in front of it. A telescope, clocks, small pictures and miniature ship and gramophone motifs fill the surrounding shelves. Printed ornaments and book panels combine with assembled furniture, folded pages and plant details to create the vintage study. These are decorative model elements: the piano and other pictured instruments add character to the scene without requiring a working mechanism.

A weekend craft project, taken at your pace

The 339-piece kit uses pre-cut, printed MDF parts and small DIY materials. Its main structure fits together with tabs and slots, with miniature furnishings and finishing details to assemble along the way. Original product artwork estimates seven to eight hours of building time, though your pace and experience will vary. Set aside part of a weekend or spread the work across several sessions. Glue and batteries are not included, so prepare them separately before you begin.

Warm lighting and a finished place among your books

Use the touch switch on the top panel to illuminate the finished model. Warm light shows through the tall window panels and beneath the upper balcony, adding depth to the two-level scene. The assembled bookstore measures approximately 16 cm wide, 16 cm deep and 21.1 cm high. Check the space on your shelf or desk, including access to the switch above. It makes a display for a reading corner or a DIY gift for someone who enjoys books, miniature interiors and patient hands-on projects.
